When a nuclear reactor melts down in Japan, the company sends a trio of assassins to take vengeance on the maker of the faulty parts that caused the meltdown, Tony Stark. Tony is still close to death and battles the Masters of Silence by remotely controlling his Iron Man armor. Feeling that this is not going to be effective, Tony creates a new suit of armor to battle his foes.
Reprint comic packaged with the Marvel Legends War Machine action figure in 2004; The interior contents are from Iron Man #281 but the cover is from Iron Man #282.
- The Masters of Silence - Tony still refers to himself in the new armor as Iron Man, even though it is now better known as the War Machine armor.
