Superman verifies an astronaut's unbelievable report of a zigzagging planetoid and saves a young couple from death, but loses his powers when Zhonda passes under a red sun. The primitive people assume he's a demon, and he cannot pass their dangerous tests without his powers.

The class get a lesson on not making fun of those who are different.

Helped by the young couple that he earlier rescued, Superman uses science and technology to pass Thongarr's tests. He sets the people on the road to advancement, and vindicates the disgraced Major Burke.

The son convinces the father to buy him a model kit.
